Analytical Molecular Biology

Analytical Molecular Biology illustrates the importance of simple analytical methods applied to some basic molecular biology problems, with an emphasis on the importance of biological problems, rather than the complexity of mathematics. Medical books Analytical Molecular Biology. First, the book examines crucial experimental data for a specific problem. Mathematical models will then be constructed with explicit inclusion of biological facts. From such models, predictions can be deduced and then suggest further experimental studies. A few important molecular biology problems will be discussed in the order of the complexity of the mathematical models Medical books Analytical Molecular Biology:. DNA technology has revolutionized molecular biology, with far-reaching implications in health care, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and forensics. This book, produced under the VAM (Valid Analytical Measurement) initiative, addresses the applicability, reliability and validation of the many methods employed. Since analytical molecular biology has typically developed in the academic and medical research environments, guidelines are also provided to ease the transition of cutting-edge techniques from the research environment to the laboratory. 27 illus. *Author: Royal Society of Chemistry/ Parkes, Helen/ Saunders, V. Medical Book Analytical Molecular Biology

First, the book examines crucial experimental data for a specific problem. Mathematical models will then be constructed with explicit inclusion of biological facts. From such models, predictions can be deduced and then suggest further experimental studies. A few important molecular biology problems will be discussed in the order of the complexity of the mathematical models. Based on such illustrations, the readers can then develop their own analytical methods to study their own problems. This book is for anyone who knows they need to learn how to apply mathematical models to biology, but doesn't necessarily want to, from practicing researchers looking to acquire more analytical tools to advanced students seeking a clear, explanatory text.

In particular in the field of systems biology, researchers are trying to analyze as many data as possible in a given biological system (such as a cell or an organ). The appropriate statistical evaluation of these large scale data is critical for the correct interpretation and different experimental approaches require different approaches for the statistical analysis of these data. This book is written by biostatisticians and mathematicians but aimed as a valuable guide for the experimental researcher as well computational biologists who often lack an appropriate background in statistical analysis.
